iPod Compatibility: The XA-110IP is compatible with third generation and newer iPods equipped with a dock connector. It is not compatible with the iPod shuffle.
CD Tuner Compatibility: The XA-110IP is compatible with most UniLink controlling head units introduced in 2006. The list of compatible units includes the CDX-GT300, CDX-GT310, CDX-R450, CDX-RA550, CDX-RA650, CDX-GT500, CDX-GT700D. From the 2007 range, CDX-GT410U/414U, CDX-GT610U/616U, CDX-GT710U. It is not compatible with the MEX-1GP or any models introduced prior to October 2005.
Display: The XA-110IP will display the track name, track number, elapsed time, album name, and artist name, assuming all are stored on the iPod. The display will scroll up to 23 characters.
Battery: When the key is in the ACC position or the radio is on, the iPod battery is charged.
Controls: In addition to the standard play/pause, track skip (forward and backward), and search within a song (forward and backward), you can also:
Search: by album name, artist name, or playlist
Repeat: track, album, artist, or playlist
Shuffle: within album, artist, playlist, or all tracks
Scan: the first 10 seconds of each track
Connections: The XA-110IP has the following connections:
UniLink Output: located on the front of the adapter, connects directly to the Sony head unit using the supplied UniLink and RCA cables
iPod Connection: located on the rear of the adapter, connects to the dock of the iPod, 37" cable is attached to the XA-110IP
